Kane Boyatzis
Kane’s journey in psychology is fueled by a deep fascination with human stories and a commitment to fostering resilience and recovery. His career spans a diverse range of settings, including non-profit organisations, government-funded programs, and private practice.
Each experience has deepened Kane’s understanding of the complexities of mental health and the uniqueness of individual paths to wellness. Kane is experienced in working with individuals across the lifespan, with a notable affinity for supporting teens and adults, Kane values the power of connection. He has been privileged to guide many through their healing journeys. He has also offered specialised support in the area of vocational rehabilitation to help clients find purpose and stability in their professional and personal lives.
Kane approaches mental health care with a foundation of compassion and personalised attention. He is deeply committed to treating acute and complex trauma, phobias, anxiety, depression, grief, substance use issues, and personality disorders, always placing the individual’s story and needs at the heart of therapy. Recognising the transformative impact of therapeutic work on relationships, Kane has specialised in assisting couples and families.
Trained in systemic intervention, he works to uncover and mend the relational dynamics that can challenge familial and romantic bonds. At Mental Health Care Psychology, Kane employs a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and overall general supportive counseling. This eclectic approach ensures therapy is tailored to the individual, making the therapeutic journey as effective and meaningful as possible.
Kane also has a special interest in supporting individuals navigating the criminal justice system, believing strongly in the potential for personal growth and change, even in the most trying circumstances. Selecting a psychologist is a significant decision, and Kane is dedicated to making that journey alongside his clients. He strives to create a therapeutic space where individuals feel genuinely heard, understood, and empowered to face their challenges. Together with Kane, clients can explore their narratives, confront their difficulties, and stride towards the life they envision.
